Are you paranoid about the effectiveness of your website? No? Well maybe you should be!
No need to panic: the goods news is there are free website evaluations that check how your website ranks in the mirky world of Search engine optimisation (SEO).
A particularly useful tool is Website Grader which measures the marketing effectiveness of a website (I found it thanks to a reference on Susan Hallam's excellent website on internet marketing). Just type in your URL & Website Grader analyses your website traffic, social popularity, SEO & other factors. It then makes recommendations on how to bring your website kicking & screaming into the 21st Century & even throws in a free marketing kit for good measure. Another, rather fun, feature is the comparison analysis option which allows you to compare your website's grade with a competitor's.
Knowing that the EMIN site is due a makeover, I typed in www.emincubation.co.uk & was rewarded with a grade of 75/100 (not bad but could do better). If you think you can score higher, go to Website Grader & see if your website "makes the grade".
